Gala's

BSC expects swimmers to participate in any gala which they are selected for. Decisions on selections are made by a selection committee. Swimmers are expected to wear Club colours when competing for or in the name of the club and should act in a proper and co-operative manner.

Kent Junior League is a A grade gala. Swam in three rounds; June, September and November
As its name suggests it is for swimmers 13 years and under. Swimmers are split into the following categories:
10 & 11’s; swim 50m
12 & 13’s, swim 100m

At the end of the three rounds the top club is promoted and bottom team relegated.
BSC are currently in Division Three along with Orpington Ojays, Edenbridge, Maidstone,Ashford and Rochester.

Octopus League is a C grade gala held at West Wickham Pool . There are eight gala’s held between January and October with each club hosting a gala. Swimmers compete in the following age groups: 10/11, Under 12, Under 14 and under 16

Other clubs are: Croydon Amphibians, Eltham Stingrays, Erith, Woodside & ThortonHeath, Streatham, Edenbridge Piranhas and Barracuda

White Horse League is a B grade gala swam over six gala’s between January and December with each club hosting a gala. Swimmers compete in the following age grouped: 10/11, Under 13, Under 15 and open.

Gala’s 1,2, 3 are 100m except 10/11 age group
Gala’s 4, 5, 6 are 50m

Other clubs are: Croydon Amphibians, Eltham Stingrays, Erith & District, Beckenham and White Darts

Tudor League is a B grade gala with time restrictions
