Bromley Swimming Club Training Camp 2009

Once again Bromley SC will be holding its Bi-Annual swim camp in the October 2009 half term, and we are going back to the 5 star Coral Beach Hotel in Cyprus, a superb hotel in the prime position of Coral Bay with its own private pleasure harbour, fantastic gardens with leisure pools and 300 metres of sandy beach. The spa facilities include a heated indoor pool and whirlpool spa. All rooms have air conditioning and satellite TV.

The main emphasis of the camp is on serious swimming training: with 2 two hour sessions per day in the 50m 10 lane pool used by Team GB squad for pre Olympic training prior to Athens 2004, plus a land based training to improve fitness. All participating swimmers would be expected to attend these sessions. In order to achieve maximum benefit from the camp it is vital that when Crystal Palace is open again, swimmers use this in preparation for the 50m training that will be needed.

Provisional flights are booked for Thursday 22nd October 2009 for 7 nights, it may be necessary for some to miss the last day of term; please take this into consideration when booking.

The provisional price is £850, which includes half board, accommodation, travel and insurance. Once your child has been accepted on the camp a deposit of £150.00 is payable, the balance is then payable by standing order up to July 2009.

The age limit for the camp is 13 by the end of October 2009, although certain exceptions have been granted in the past.If your child is interested in attending the camp, please complete the slip below to register your interest. If the demand for the camp is higher than the proposed number of participants, selection will be made.

The camp has proved to be a great success over the years. Whilst the main purpose of the camp is swimming, it is also a great opportunity for team bonding and fun!
