National Arena Swimming League – Round I

After historical¬†results in last years’ league which saw Bromley’s A team finish 8th in the Premiership and Bromley’s first ever B team earn promotion to Division 1, Bromley continued their success in the first round of this years’ National Arena League last weekend. Bromley’s A team secured a fantastic, hard-fought 3rd place finish, while the B team proved they belong in Division 1 with a solid 4th place finish.

Currently Bromley’s A team stand 7th in the Premiership, while the B team are in 12th place in Division 1.

Final point scores were as follows:

1st Thanet A – 232
2nd Sevenoaks A – 231
3rd Bromley A – 187
4th Woking – 182
5th Havant & Waterlooville – 112
6th Reading – 105

Division One:
1st Crawley – 244
2nd Hastings – 205
3rd Croydon Amphibians 181
4th Bromley B – 159
5th South Croydon – 137
6th Orpington Ojays – 117

KJL – 2016 – Round II

Bromley’s Juniors put in an excellent performance in their first league gala following the summer, with a 2nd place finish in round II of the Kent Junior League.

Overall point scores were as follows:

1st – Thanet SC – 263 points
2nd – Bromley SC – 249 points
3rd – RTW Monson SC – 189 points
4th – Sevenoaks B – 152 points
5th – Maidstone – 124 points
6th – Orpington Ojays – 89 points

Bromley have now qualified for the Final of the league which will take place on 19th November, and will see Bromley take on the 5 other top Junior teams in Kent!

British and ASA Summer Championships 2016




Bromley had it’s most successful campaign to date at this year’s British and ASA Summer Championships. With 3 and 5 qualifiers respectively, Bromley came home with 7 medals, 12 Finals, 3 Junior Kent County Records and a whole raft of personal best performances! Highlights were:

British Summer Championships:

  • Silver (100m Freestyle), Bronze and Junior County Record (50m Backstroke), and Finalist (100m Backstroke- 5th, 50m Butterfly-8th) for Meers
  • 50m Breaststroke Finalist (9th) and Junior County Record for Ireland
  • Reserve 50m Breaststroke Finalist for Rogers
  • Eight events out of eleven were personal best performances (not including further PBs done in finals!)

ASA Summer Championships:

  • Gold for Meers in 200m IM
  • Two Silvers for Dobb in 400m Freestyle and 1500m Freestyle
  • Two Silvers for Ireland in 100m and 200m Breaststroke and another Junior County Record in 200m Breaststroke
  • 50m and 100m Freestyle Finalist (7th & 8th) for Brinkley
  • 50m Breaststroke Finalist (5th) for Ashworth

It was a great two weeks for our team, we are so proud of our swimmers!
